Client: Nathan Crouch, University of Kent
Project: Think Kent lectures
Date: 2015, 2016, 2017
"We wanted to undertake a series of video lectures, similar to TED talks to promote the research that happens at the university. We’d tried some initial test videos in-house to get the proof of the concept to see what worked and what didn’t.
We wanted to go for an external video production company that had more experience in that regard and could also cope with the scope of the project.
We’ve produced nearly 70 Think Kent videos to date and the impact has been really good. We’ve had large numbers of views for the videos, we’ve seen good engagement of Facebook as well with a lot of views, lots of likes, lot of shares.
I’ve worked with quite a large number of video production companies during my working life and i’ve been very pleased with Slate and Mortar that you know that you’re going to get a good quality product, they’ve got a very good artistic eye as well, and it’s really helped improve the quality of what we’ve produced. So, ease of use, professionalism; excellent company to work with."
